Post Three: Doubt

Well, this is disappointing. The more I think about my project, the more that I seem to not have the passion for it I thought I would've. When I look at what I'm supposed to accomplish- learning something along the way- I don't see what I could really learn off of designing an app. Other than of course coding is a huge mess to read blah blah blah. I feel that if I change I have to do it soon so i have enough time to actually accomplish the other. But I don't have any idea on what I want to do so I guess I'll just keep going with my current project until I have some epiphany and realize what I'm passionate about. I might find that when I get into the programming deeply I may find a drive to keep going and find that it really is something I'm passionate about. I guess time will tell. But it' time to get to work, and time to build my app.

Post Numero Dos!

Hello Again!,
Well, after a long week, I have started researching what kind of programming program I will use. Apple application developing is out of the question. It's $99 a year (which is our of my budget at the moment)v. And I do not have a Mac. Which seems impossible to make an Apple app with. So we've been reduced to Android applications. I think I have to choose between Objective C and C++. I think I'm going to go with the C++ because of the programming courses in my school and the online textbook on  how to use C++.

During my research I decided to try and reach out for some local help. After talking to my English teacher, he told me to seek the assistance of the school programming teacher. I have yet to come see him due to my excessive laziness and nervousness because I have never talked to this teacher before.

Well that all for this week, I'll do some more research and see what I can learn and maybe fully start programming!

                                                                         See Ya,
                                                                                Tony

First Post (A little late but it's the thought that counts!)

Hello one and all,

Welcome to my blog! In this blog I will be focusing on the progress of me creating a phone application. I know virtually nothing on the subject, which I feel is a great start already. I only know of programming programs like Objective C, C++, etc. I know that I will start with choosing the program that would suit my needs and ability the most.

The bulk of my year long project would be the programming itself. The challenging part is going to be testing. Since I don't own a Android phone, I might have to make an investment to buy an Android. Which... we'll cross that bridge when we get there. I don't  plan on testing until around April or March.

I have not decided whether to make the app a game or some sort of utility app. I will probably talk to many of my peers to see what they would like in an app and try and build from there. Most of my decision making will be driven by my peers and their opinions. But let's just see how I'm going to start programming.

                                                                              See You Next Week,
                                                                                                    Tony
